How old do I need to be before I can start drivers education?
Segment 1 students must be 14 years 8 months by the first day of class.
When am I eligible to take Segment 2?
Students can begin Segment 2 after a minimum of 90 days have elapsed since the completion of Segment 1. Before attending Segment 2 students must have at least 30 hours of supervised driving, including 2 hours at night, with a licensed parent, guardian, or designated adult.
Do you offer instruction to adults 18 or older that want to learn to drive?
Mavericks Driving Academy has extended services to include an adult driving program, which offers behind-the-wheel instruction to adults over the age of 18. Our instruction coaches the basics of driving on Michigan’s roadways and teaches the information required to pass the road skills test. Adult students are required to have a driving permit from the Secretary of State before lessons can begin.

What if I miss class?
The State requires 24 hours of classroom instruction in Segment 1 and 6 hours of classroom instruction in Segment 2. Any missed classes must be made-up. Make-up days are scheduled by the instructor on a case-by-case basis.
How do I register?
Class space is limited and is provided on a first come, first serve basis. As a result, pre-registration is required for Mavericks Driving Academy.

How much do the classes cost?
Segment 1 costs $325.00, Segment 2 costs $50.00, and the Adult Driving Program costs $180.00.
Where are you located?
Mavericks Driving Academy is located at 4182 N. Roosevelt Road in Stevensville, Michigan. Our location is just off of Glenlord Road, behind Glenlord Lumber.
Will you pick me up and drop me off at school or at home?
Please note that picking up and dropping off students is at the discretion of Mavericks Driving Academy.
What do I need to bring?
Segment 1 students need to bring their birth certificate, a notebook, and a pencil. Segment 2 students need to bring their level one license, a notebook, and a pencil. Adult Driving Program students need to bring a driving permit from the Secretary of State, a notebook, and a pencil.
